We have an exciting opportunity within our Property team for a Property Officer - Commercial.

About the Role
Reporting to the Property Manager, you will lead the management of the Council's Investment Property Portfolio and a selection of other Council owned property with commercial tenants.
You will be responsible for:
The day to day Property Management duties including negotiating and administering lease agreements from commencement to expiry, maintaining strong relationships with tenants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Setting budgets and reporting on outcomes while driving the portfolio performance in line with industry standards.
Setting sound property strategies and recommending acquisition or disposal of assets.
Being part of an experienced Property focused team within the Property Services Group at the Dunedin City Council.
All about you
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years' experience managing Commercial Property. You must have experience in negotiating and managing Commercial buildings and leases. You will know the ADLS leases inside out, love revenue, dream about WALT, and dine out on yields and cap rates. You will be a great communicator, negotiator, and have exceptional organisational skills.
A University Degree in Property, Law or Commerce related field.
At least three years Property Management experience in a mix of asset classes including but not limited to retail and commercial office.
Experience in setting budgets and financial forecasting with strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Salary range: $86,428 - $101,680 per annum
