Property Officer - Built Spaces | Kaiurungi Rawa - Nga Wahi Hanga

Wairoa District Council is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Property Officer to play a pivotal role in managing and optimising our Built Spaces.
This full time, permanent position exists to assist in the management of Council's property portfolio and lease agreements in line with industry best practice.
About this role: In this role you will play a key part in assisting in the management of Council's Built Assets, including urban, rural and central business district facilities.
You will assist with management of property leases for land title data collection of Council property assets and input of that data into our asset management system.
You will manage contracted operations and ensure all Council contractor reviews are completed successfully.
About you: To be successful you will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You will ideally have previous experience in the management of public facilities and monitoring maintenance of the same or contract/project management experience.
You will have a sound understanding of valuation, condition assessment and insurance for buildings.
