This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Finance and Commercial.The role has the primary responsibility for our leased, leasehold and owned properties working with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure NZRC provides facilities for its staff, members, volunteers, clients and visitors that are warm, dry and safe and support our sustainability goals. We are undergoing significant change in our property portfolio and you will have a strong ability to project manage property changes including ensuring stakeholders are actively engaged during each project.You will have experience managing owned and leased property portfolios including leading relocations and small to medium sized refurbishments. You will bring your ability to communicate well and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and guide them through changes that are required when managing and evolving a property portfolio.About the role – Korero mo te turangaIn this role you will:Provide decisive and clear leadership and management of leased, leasehold and owned property assets across New Zealand.Project manage the delivery of property change initiatives agreed for NZRC Future Property Vision Project to ensure that projects plans are developed and delivered with staff, members, volunteers and tenants who are engaged through each initiative.Provide reporting on the state of the NZRC programme of work; in particular financials, time, scope, benefits and risk.Develop a framework for ongoing portfolio review, including a risk profile and criteria for assessing future NZRC property needs.Provide leadership to ensure the organisation's property and facility needs are delivered in a timely and effective manner, and in alignment with the organisation's sustainability goals.Ensure property policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and followed including ensuring that all NZRC buildings with Building Warrant of Fitness are current. Escalate any matters of risk.Develop a process of reporting on key property matters to the Director Finance and Commercial to ensure sound property management.Proactively monitor property project progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.Ensure that each location is enabled and empowered to manage their facilities' needs.Who are we looking for? – Ma wai te mahi nei?To be successful you will have:Extensive knowledge of commercial property and its management.Strong project and change management experience.Excellent service skills to meet stakeholder expectations and timely turnaround of property projects.Significant experience delivering and embedding property change projects to meet stakeholder needs.Very good experience leading property relocation design and implementation projects.A good understanding of the commercial property market in New Zealand and its dynamics.A very good understanding of commercial leasing.Knowledge of ESG improvement initiatives.Good level of computer skills including the ability to navigate property software.Experience of managing multiple tasks to deadlines and prioritising own workload.About the New Zealand Red CrossNew Zealand Red Cross is a National Society member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the world's largest humanitarian organisation.
