Te Wero - The Challenge As a Property Information Officer you will ensure that the Far North District Council's property information and Land Information Memorandum (LIM) functions are effectively managed in compliance with relevant legislation.
The FNDC Information Management Strategy, Policy, and Business Rules must be adhered to.
This involves: Maintaining the Currency: Ensuring that all electronic records in the Property Administration System and Electronic Document Management System (EDRMS) are up-to-date.
Ensuring Accuracy: Verifying that the information is correct and reliable.
Relevance: Making sure that the data is pertinent to current needs and requirements.
Completeness: Confirming that all necessary information is included and nothing is missing.
Additionally, it is crucial to promote the value of these electronic records to staff, highlighting their importance in daily operations and decision-making processes.
This can be achieved through regular training sessions, updates, and clear communication about the benefits and uses of the Property Administration System and EDRMS.
Our ideal candidate will possess: 3-5 years of experience in a property information role Expertise in property administration, GIS, and document management systems Strong knowledge of local government legislation (e.g., LGOIMA, RMA, Building Act, Rating Valuations Act, Addressing Standards) Understanding of local authority functions and activities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent written and oral communication skills Proactive problem-solving abilities to meet customer needs A current driver's license Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for the community A progressive mindset focused on continuous improvement Far North District Council is proud of our diverse workforce and is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.

The salary for this position is Grade 10 within Council's salary structure (Band: $50,546 to $59,466 pro rata per annum) dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
