We are seeking a Property Accountant to join us in our Napier Support Office.This role involves working across many aspects of the Big Save Retail, Farm and Property businesses; performing a variety of administration, accounts, and clerical tasks for both the property team and administration teams to ensure the smooth running of our property division.This role will also see you collaborating with various internal departments, suppliers, and retail stores. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:Report to the Group Accountant to assist with and ensure:Payment runs are carried out correctly, and approval processes are followed.Timely cashflow forecasting, tracking of commercial property projects and costs.Property renewals are carried out on time, and any changes to tenant information is recorded accurately in Released – our online property management system.Adequate support is provided to offshore personnel and our Property Administrator.Additional responsibilities include:Completion of bimonthly GST returns for review and providing advice on business structures, plans, and overall operations.Examining operating costs, income, and expenditure throughout the property division.Bank reconciliations and coding.Entering supplier invoices in Xero for approval.Tenant invoicing and management of tenant arrears reported and carried out in a timely manner.Preparation of OPEX washup calculations.Preparation of monthly property management reports and statements for presentation to the board of directors and financial institution liaison.Various accounts administrative tasks as required and maintaining internal control systems.We require the following:Full-time Permanent role working Monday to Friday at our Napier Support Office.Must have a Level 8 Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.Experience relevant in Banking, Accounting practice.Team Player with a positive outlook, confidence, and customer focus for integrity.The successful candidate will work alongside our Accounts and Property team members.About Us:Founded in 1973, Big Save Furniture is a New Zealand family-owned and operated furniture and bed retailer having just celebrated its 50th Birthday.
