Project / Site Manager

We have an opportunity for an experienced Project/Site Manager.Free Accommodation will be provided.This is a key role for the Waikato region, as you will manage and lead project delivery of residential construction projects, ensuring the profitable, compliant, and efficient delivery of the works.This role offers diversity, challenge, and an ability to make your mark.
You will have a strong focus on people leadership and development, managing key stakeholder relationships, and have operational and financial accountability.Key Responsibilities:Manage the project to meet or exceed margins/profit.Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers around work allocation, timelines, and expectations.Ensure all work/jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies, and relevant legislation, codes, and regulations.Manage onsite quality and ensure Council inspections are adhered to.Maintain customer/client relationships and find innovative ways to add value to our customers and meet expectations.Prepare a specific programme to achieve the construction dates and milestones.Lead best practices, work procedures, health and safety, environment and quality procedures, and customer relationship management on all projects.Ensure all standards & procedures for supplier and subcontractor management are followed and all paperwork is completed for setup.Manage and develop internal capability.Skills and Experience:Minimum 2 years relevant construction experience (Site/Project management or a LBP, preferably in NZ or Australia).Ability to read & interpret drawings and communicate relevant tasks.Provide clear direction on tasks to be completed onsite.Lead your team to deliver high-quality projects - on time and on budget.Assist the team to meet project demands and timelines.Hold relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.Competent user of Word, Excel, and Project.Understanding of job pricing including materials, labour, and plant and associated margin/profit calculations.Familiar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, and working towards CCS training as Project Management tool.Experience with maintenance residential projects is preferred, however, not essential.Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).Must cope well under pressure.
