About the role

This role collaborates with the Infrastructure & Project Delivery team to support the safe delivery of key projects at Wellington Airport, ensuring project safety has continual oversight. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, and ensuring the delivery of key components of our Safety Management System (SMS).
You will be:
Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for Consultants, Contractors, Sub-Contractors and WIAL staff to resolve any safety matters that arise from project works.
Undertaking incident investigations and inspections of project works sites in collaboration with our stakeholders, to ensure project safety oversight.
Liaising with WIAL Project Managers relating to project related safety matters.
Collating project related incident data and trends.

Ideally, you have:
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, with a focus on both aeronautical operations and construction projects.
As part of our standard pre-employment requirements, you must be able to obtain security clearance from Aviation Security Services, complete a Ministry of Justice background check, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and pass a drug/alcohol test.
