Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Project & Process Improvement Engineer to join our team in New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for driving process optimization, implementing new technologies, and leading improvement projects within our infant formula manufacturing plant. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within our Powder, Blending, Warehousing, Utilities and Wastewater Treatment divisions to identify areas for enhancement, develop solutions, and implement changes to streamline operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and execute process improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
Identify opportunities for automation, equipment upgrades, and technological advancements to improve product quality and production output.
Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and protocols to ensure consistency and compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct thorough analysis of production data, including yield, downtime, and quality metrics, to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to implement process changes and ensure successful integration with existing systems.
Provide technical support and training to production staff to facilitate the adoption of new processes and technologies.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to infant formula manufacturing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience (3+ years) in process engineering, preferably within the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on continuous improvement and project management.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies relevant to infant formula production, including lean manufacturing.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change management initiatives.
Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Exposure to MS Dynamics Navision and MEX Maintenance Software
Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
