Mo tenei turanga mahi | About this role As a Project Officer, you will collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects within the Council.
Your role will involve coordinating project activities, maintaining timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet their intended outcomes.
You will be responsible for gathering business requirements, conducting research, and assisting in project implementation, helping to translate project ideas into actionable outcomes.
Additionally, you will provide input into project planning and scheduling, assist with preparing tender documentation, and support communications, training, and engagement activities to ensure stakeholders are well-informed and aligned with project objectives.
He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring The preferred candidate will have: Relevant Qualifications and Experience : Diploma-level qualification or relevant industry experience in project management.
A full NZ Driver's Licence is required.
Project Management Skills : Experience in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and supporting project managers in maintaining timelines and milestones.
You will be skilled in preparing status reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
Organisational and Analytical Skills : Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
You will have experience in conducting research, performing analysis, and providing input into the development of project plans and schedules.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement : Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, ensuring that project goals are met and that documentation is clear and accurate.
Experience in collaborating with internal subject matter experts and external stakeholders is essential.

Utu a-tau | Salary The salary for this position will commence between $64,402 and $75,768 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
