Project Managers - Multiple Opportunities

Details of the offer

Project Managers - Multiple Opportunities at New Zealand Transport Agency, Auckland At the NZ Transport Agency, it all starts with our people. The organisation's performance and success depend on the people who choose to make this a great place to work and make a difference for Aotearoa. The Transport Agency has a strong future focus, understanding that new technologies and changing customer expectations mean the transport system we know today will not be the one we deliver in ten years' time.
The focus of Transport Services is to provide, improve and maintain an integrated land transport system to effectively enable people-centred, technology-enabled, system-focused transport services, in partnership with other system providers.
The Project Services Team is responsible for the management and ongoing development of project management practice and resources within Te Toki | Transport Services. It is accountable for building the enduring project management capability and driving delivery improvements that make it a sector leader in delivery excellence.
As a Project Manager, you will be leading or contributing to the delivery of a variety of large-scale or small capital transport projects. You'll collaborate and engage across NZTA Waka Kotahi, Iwi, local authorities, and a variety of stakeholders and development partners ensuring that projects are managed effectively and delivering optimal outcomes.
We're a highly experienced, multicultural team who bring a wide range of experience, but what we're most proud of, and the real key to our success, is the team culture we have built. We support and bounce ideas off one another, share our workload to deliver top-quality infrastructure for our communities, and still have fun.
We have multiple opportunities available for those looking to step up or for Seniors who are keen to share their expertise and mentor others.
These roles are regionally based and to be considered you MUST be located in that city/region or be willing to relocate. You'll be visiting the sites you are managing.
You'll bring an understanding of technical design, delivery, and contract experience, but what's most important to us is how you work with people - our team, our customers, and our stakeholders.
Our team is passionate, proactive, and genuinely motivated by the mahi we do for our communities and are looking for other likeminded Project Management professionals.
You'll also demonstrate:
End-to-End project management experience with proven delivery of infrastructure projects, including programme, financial, and risk management activities.
An innovative, collaborative mindset and approach to project delivery.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with key partners and stakeholders across public and private sectors.
Understanding of NZS3910/3916 general conditions within the civil engineering industry.
A genuine interest to build on, or develop an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori.
