Central Pacific Collective (CPC) is a community-led regional organisation with a vision of thriving, prosperous Pasefika people and communities. We operate by enabling, facilitating, supporting, and integrating the considerable efforts of various agencies and organisations dedicated to providing wellbeing solutions for Pasefika communities in the wider Wellington region.
We are currently undergoing a transformation that extends our reach and support a more comprehensive range of wellbeing outcomes. We have secured government funding to build up to 300 affordable, multigenerational, Pasefika-designed homes in Porirua to improve wellbeing and transform lives. The project, Our Whare Our Fale, is the first of its kind and is the biggest Pasefika project in New Zealand.
The project will ensure that Pasefika families can live in homes that reflect their culture, support their values, and enhance their future prospects. This project has the potential to shape the future of Porirua's Pasefika community for generations to come, and as the Project Manager, you will be at the heart of this transformation.
About the role
The role is responsible for progressing the project on behalf of CPC through to completion, ensuring the project remains on budget, delivered on time and to a high quality.
This is a senior role requiring someone with extensive experience in complex construction projects, particularly those that involve community engagement and culturally sensitive approaches. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to navigate a high-profile, multi-phase project while aligning the project's goals with the values and needs of the Pasefika community.
Central to the role is Va - the sacred relationships that exist between people. We respect each other and maintain the sanctity, harmony and balance within our relationships. Every interaction, decision and response is underpinned by Va.
About you
You will have a strong track-record and proven experience in delivering affordable housing projects from inception through to completion, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
By bringing your expertise to this role, you will not only be managing the project on behalf of CPC but also contributing to the creation of spaces where Pasefika can thrive, celebrate their cultural heritage, and build stronger communities. This is your chance to make a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives of Pasefika families.
