We are responsible for the delivery of quality and accessible primary health care to a population of over 190,000 in the MidCentral district. As we embark on exciting new projects, we're seeking a talented Project Manager to lead the way.
The role:
The primary function of the Project Manager is to support, execute, and oversee projects that the Strategy, Planning and Performance team have oversight of, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the specified objectives while effectively managing resources and stakeholders. The Project Manager will act as a coordinator and problem-solver, driving the project forward and navigating challenges to achieve successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will provide support to the Manager for Strategy, Planning and Performance and undertake projects connected to the following work streams:
Development and implementation of long-term organisational strategies and goals aligned with the organisation's mission
Development of the THINK Hauora annual work plan and reporting
Development of the THINK Hauora strategic initiatives, supporting the implementation and evaluation of projects and programmes
Development of programme/project management guidance and tools to promote strong and consistent project management within THINK Hauora.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Lead project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation.
Communicate project goals, expectations, and updates to stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
Manage project scope, changes, and resource allocation.
Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present project reports and updates to leadership.
