With a vibrant atmosphere and an unwavering commitment to our values—positivity, respect, responsibility, and above and beyond—we're passionate about creating a team full of outstanding individuals who are as passionate about shaping the future as we are.Our busy Project Management Office is seeking a Project Manager.Key responsibilities for this role include:Oversee multiple projects with a focus on budget, timeframes, and quality.Support external and internal project management practices during all project lifecycle phases.Collaborate with internal and external project team partners to align milestones and other programme outcomes.Confidently communicate project goals and outcomes with consultants, contractors, and other service providers.Work closely with all service providers, contractors, and consultants to deliver, forecast, and manage budget and time to provide value-for-money outcomes for the Council and city.Work with other staff within the Project Management Office to build capacity within the Council to deliver projects well.What you will bring:Demonstrable Contractor or Client Project Management experience (5+ years).Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with quality assurance, resourcing, financial management, health, safety, and risk management procedures.Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively across large organisations at all levels.Able to produce detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.Able to prepare and present project status reports, including progress, challenges, and solutions, to the project control group.Experience in planning, organising, communicating, and managing workloads and resources to meet deadlines and work requirements.What we offer:Career progression and training/development opportunities.Positive focus on employee health and well-being: Workstation assessments, free flu vaccines, EAP services, 50% off eye exams, discounted gym memberships, etc.Kiwisaver and Superannuation Schemes.Access to sick leave from day one of employment.Appointment time leave: Up to 2 hours for important appointments e.g., Doctor, bank, dentist.Waihopai Invercargill is New Zealand's southernmost city and the heart and hub of Southland.
