Our Major Projects team is a key driver in this work, overseeing large-scale, high-impact projects that contribute significantly to our community and industry.The Role:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Major Projects team, preferably based in Invercargill, Southland.
In this role, you will lead and manage major projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
You will be pivotal in coordinating with stakeholders, managing resources, and mitigating risks to achieve successful project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Project Leadership: Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and client expectations.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and clients to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.Resource Allocation: Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions to address them proactively.Reporting: Provide regular project updates, reports, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.Qualifications and Skills:Experience: Proven experience in project management, particularly in large-scale or complex projects within the energy or infrastructure sector.Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is highly desirable.Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.Technical Knowledge: Understanding of energy systems, infrastructure development, and project management methodologies.Why Join Us?At PowerNet, our people are our most valuable asset.
