At the heart of the region, Nelson City Council is a Unitary Authority responsible for providing key infrastructure, community facilities and services, economic development and a range of regulatory functions.
Always striving to deliver an even better service to our community, the Capital Projects unit is responsible for the delivery of the Capital works programme.
The variety of infrastructure projects includes three waters, roading and traffic improvements, walking and cycle ways, parks, playground installations, facilities and building upgrades.
About this role | Ko tenei turanga mahi To help achieve the Capital Projects works programme, we're looking for qualified professionals to manage a range of interesting and varied infrastructure projects.
The role provides project management oversight for capital and renewal projects, managing consultants and/or contractors ensuring completion is on time, within budget, scope, and quality.
Working together with a team who are passionate about making Nelson an even better place.
About you | Ko nga pumanawa ou You will have experience in project management within infrastructure, engineering, capital works, client-side, or consultancy within New Zealand - together with a qualification in civil engineering and project management.
