This Project Manager role is for an exciting hotel called Tryp by Wyndham Hotels, in Palmerston North's old post office.This is a 20 month project starting in April / May 2025.We are looking for someone to provide on-site planning, design input, and day-to-day management and support for the on-site construction team.Tasks include but are not limited to:Project and construction management:Establish and maintain proper supervision of the works + inspect on-site and off-site activitiesDiscuss and agree on project objectives with various stakeholdersOversee the inspections process including council and consultantsReview and approve shop drawingsContract management and administration:Assist with setup on contracts, including subcontractor negotiationEnsure contract administration is carried out in accordance with the contract requirementsAgreement and submission of monthly progress claimsCheck and process supplier invoices and sub-contractor claims and paymentsPrepare and review monthly cost and/or value reconciliations against budget targetsAssist in preparation of tendersGeneral Business:Relationship managementEnsure H&S requirements are met to a high standardManage meetings and take meeting minutesProvide technical input and guidanceExperience required:Trade background preferred4+ years experience in a project management role on commercial projectsUnderstanding of the development processAll-round knowledge of civil / structure / apartment fit-out / façade / passive fireUnderstand and manage RC / LUC and BC conditions and close outBasic QS skillsStrong at programming and sequencingA competitive salary is offered based on experience and knowledge.
