They have put in place the best systems to enable manufacturing on time and within budget, and their team is focused on delivering outstanding service to their customers throughout New Zealand. Currently, the business employs 50 staff across three sites in Palmerston North and Levin, delivering to customers across the Lower North Island.Based in Palmerston North and reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing Commercial and Residential projects, ensuring the successful completion of projects within the specified timeframes, budget, and quality standards. Other core responsibilities will include:Communication & Stakeholder Management: Maintain regular communication channels with stakeholders, including builders, clients, sub-contractors, and team members, providing updates, addressing any day-to-day project issues, and ensuring alignment with project targets and expectations.Project Management & Coordination of Job Orders: Confirmation of customer specifications, ensuring that they meet code and provide a practical solution. Ensuring project requirements are clearly communicated and understood amongst key stakeholders.Job Estimates & Scheduling: Management of onsite measurements for new projects ensuring quality standards are adhered to. Scheduling the delivery of products for current projects.Other: Any other duties that may be required as requirements are developed or restructured.This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and technical knowledge of the construction industry, and prior working experience within the construction or aluminium joinery industry is preferable. Other skills and competencies required include:Communication: The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.Teamwork: Willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.Time Management/Organisation: Accomplish objectives effectively within the time frame given and carry out administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner.Computer Skills: A high level of computer competency is required.Customer Service Focused: Committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone, and face to face.This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make an impact and join a highly successful and close-knit team.
