Looking for a role where you can lead projects that will have positive, transformational and lasting impacts on communities?
We are seeking a delivery specialist in managing projects, to join our established PMO at Central Hawke's Bay District Council.
This is an existing role will lead and deliver a variety of projects and is a unique opportunity for an energetic and innovative person to join the team to support the Central Hawke's Bay District Council to THRIVE.
Our PMO team delivers valuable water and civil infrastructure projects for the community.
The team leads projects and programmes from initiation through to project completion with a focus on delivery of high-quality durable infrastructure.

We have a significant pipeline of projects across our infrastructure programme, no two days will be the same, we are a small team punching above our weight, with a passion to deliver excellence and transformational change to our communities.
About you: You will ideally have project management experience, with specific expertise in managing community-focused infrastructure projects.
You may have a technical background or you may be a great project manager.
Your excellent communication and relationship management skills will be vital in your day-to-day dealings with project teams, consultants, contractors, key stakeholders, community groups, and the public.
As a Project Manager, your main responsibility will be to lead and manage allocated projects, ensuring delivery to timeframes; Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects as they travel through their lifecycle.
You will need to be a self-starter that learns quickly and takes the initiative, you will be customer focussed and bring an energy to the team.
In this full time role, you will need to have a collaborative nature and share the Council's THRIVE values and its commitment to 'smarter thinking' so we can plan for tomorrow to futureproof Central Hawke's Bay.
Ideally, you will have; A background in infrastructure planning, Project Management, or asset management; Have required skills to manage projects working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders; Willing to learn new skills a must; We are open to consider applicants who would like to work less than 40 hours a week; Successful track record of working with diverse stakeholders to develop solutions  Excellent relationship management skills - collaborative and team focussed approach to project development Champion safety in all aspects of planning, design and construction How to apply: If you think you might be the person we're looking for, apply in confidence with your CV and Cover Letter.
