This is a multi-dimensional role that has these core functions:
Contribute to the successful delivery of a wide range of projects and initiatives across the entire organisationThe primary aspect of this role will be the Project and Change Management of major projects.Provide project management support, guidance, and mentoring to colleagues across Ara as they and the tertiary vocational education sector undergo significant change.Management of budgets and resources.The ability to plan and deliver complex projects, with minimal impact on day-to-day operations.Strong organisational and time management skills.Minimum Requirements: A tertiary qualification at Degree level in an appropriate discipline.Proven Project and Change Management experience that includes managing multiple projects and complex situations in a large organization at a senior level.Strong leadership and the ability to manage, encourage, and support a highly skilled professional project team.Highly developed problem-solving skills in a complex and fast-evolving environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.The development of robust strategies which align with Ara's goals.The ability to clearly understand business requirements.Ara Institute of Canterbury a business division of Te Pukenga (Ara) is a vibrant and progressive tertiary institute providing world-class, tertiary-level education throughout the Canterbury and Waitaki region.
