Position overview We are looking for a Project Manager (2 years contract) to join our team in Penrose, New Zealand!
As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and delivering key projects while ensuring full compliance with allnex SHE policies and "Zero Harm" requirements.
This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and objectives in alignment with allnex Standards, while maintaining the highest levels of safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities Act as the allnex Project Manager for assigned projects, ensuring the safe, timely, and on-budget completion of projects in alignment with business objectives and allnex Engineering and SHE Standards.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., Global Engineering, Process Engineering, and Process Control) and local management to prepare and review project scope documents.
Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and schedules, and ensuring ongoing tracking of progress.
Manage procurement, monitoring work quality and quantity, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring adherence to safety standards, compliance, and schedules.
Supervise all decommissioning and remediation activities.
Provide monthly updates on project progress, costs, and total cost forecasts.
Ensure compliance with allnex Engineering Standards for Project Management and Project Engineering.
Take personal responsibility to adhere to company policies, including fostering a safe workplace and supporting the allnex diversity programme.
Ensure all regulatory requirements are met, including the timely submission of documentation, surrendering of licences and permits, and other necessary compliance actions.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the manager.
Required skills and experience Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Experience in decommissioning manufacturing facilities is highly preferred.
Proven ability to manage contractors and implement projects on brownfield sites.
Strong knowledge of local authority permitting requirements and relevant engineering standards.
Experience in reviewing and managing contracts and contractors.
Commitment to Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental practices.
Ability to lead and motivate teams of technicians, engineers, and contractors.
Proficient in financial controls for project budgeting and justification.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Willingness to travel regionally with a valid passport.
Qualifications A tertiary qualification in any Engineering field from a reputable institution.
