We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our National Project Team!
As our Project Manager, you will be responsible nationally for the Special Projects Major/Minor Works and project-related Technical Support primarily. The business unit is the key support function to all our branches for Special Hazards Project revenue. You will be responsible for Special Projects day-to-day financial, internal/external customers, design, Health & Safety, technical development, and organise project related technical training within the company.
Essential Skills: Expert organizational skillsStrong ability to multitaskOutstanding communication skillsKnowledge of project management processes, workflow, terminologyAbility to function well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlinesWhat we offer: Competitive salary packageFully maintained company vehicle + mobile phone + laptopLocated at our Onehunga head office you will be working with the industry leaders and expertsWhat you will do: Supervise all field personnel, sub-contractors, technicians and technical resources including design team and fabrication requirements, as needed to ensure efficient utilisation of labour and maximum profit on contractsProgram and administer contracts to achieve maximum returns and client satisfactionIdentify and close project opportunities as well, provide support to enable successful completion of projects and maintain high delivery standards in the relevant marketGather requirements, deliverables, and timeframes from stakeholdersAgree on priorities with clientsPlan resourcesCreate project plansCommunicate key milestonesCommunicate the project plan internally and with the clientProduce reports for management (e.g., performance metrics)Communicate frequently with sponsors and stakeholdersKnow the team's strengths and weaknesses, together and individuallyPlan around the team's skills to ensure end successAdhere to the critical path and have a plan to mitigate issues that invariably ariseWhat we look for? Bachelors in Mechanical/Electrical EngineeringRelevant project management qualificationsPrevious Fire Protection experience in ProjectsProven track record in sales revenue and business growthHigh degree of problem-solving abilityExperience with Projects fire protection systemsHigh degree of written and verbal communication skillsFinancial capabilitiesAdvanced level skills in Microsoft SuitePlease note pre-employment checks – including reference checks, medical, criminal record check, and drug & alcohol testing – will form part of the eligibility process.
