Project Manager ICT - Wellington - Fixed Term at Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wellington - Wairarapa Mo tenei turanga - about the roleThe purpose of the position is to deliver project management services in support of the improvement of the Fire and Emergency NZ systems. This will involve working closely with business and technical stakeholders on different stages of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution and closure.Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role:The successful candidate for this fixed term position will be able to use their prior experience in ICT project management to jump into the role quickly. You will be confident in your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will bring fantastic communication and presentation skills along with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing workloads while delivering quality outputs.To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will:Proven experience in providing complex project management advice and support.Proven experience in development of detailed project documentation, including Business Cases, Reporting and plans.Proven experience in budget development, ongoing financial management and financial analysis.Understanding of Government Procurement Rules and contracting under those frameworksSound commercial nous and the ability to negotiate a variety of commercial and contractual arrangements.Well-developed ability to critically analyse and interpret complex information and make effective, well-reasoned decisions.The salary range for this role is $119,496 - $132,773 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.Ko wai matou - who are we?Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity responsible for reducing unwanted fires, responding to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents, natural disasters, and supporting increased community resilience.Our vision is to build stronger communities and protect what matters most to the people within them.
