Project Manager - ICT (30 hours per week)It is an exciting time here at Whangarei District Council as we continue to strengthen our strategic partnerships and enhance service provision to our community. To support us in achieving our objectives we are looking for a professional Project Manager with ICT Project experience keen to further their career within an organisation committed to delivering the best outcomes for the community it serves. This is a part-time role equivalent to 30 hours per week with some flexibility in how and when those hours are worked.
As the successful applicant you will work within a dedicated ICT team who are focused on supporting our organisation to continuously develop its technical capability in a way that enables our people to effectively deliver whatever gets thrown our way.
Working from our new state of the art, purpose built civic facility, the candidate successful in securing this role will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environmentSolid project management experience, particularly with ICT projectsDesire to successfully manage a number of concurrent and diverse projectsThorough understanding of and ability to apply Project Management principles i.e. PMI, Prince 2 or equivalentExcellent time management, leadership, facilitation and communication skillsAbility and desire to embrace and work in accordance with our organisational tikangaIf you can demonstrate that you are skilled, keen to work with an organisation that truly values its people and proactive in your approach to service delivery, this may be just the opportunity you've been waiting for.
