Cyclone Gabrielle has devastated parts of our community and Council is at the forefront of the recovery. The impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle were significant on our Roading network. The community has responded, and our recovery is gaining momentum with the investigation, planning and design of a vast recovery programme to rebuild our devastated and fragile roading infrastructure. We are seeking a Project Manager - Bridge Recovery to join our team. In this role, you will lead the recovery program for our bridge asset portfolio, focusing on replacement and repair of structures. You'll work closely with consultant project managers, ensuring successful delivery of up to 19 bridge replacements and 60 repair structures. Your day-to-day duties will include: Managing resources to ensure the team has what they need to meet program goals. Overseeing the bridge recovery program to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time. Leading project planning from initial concept through to execution, including procurement and contractor management. Monitoring and managing budgets to ensure financial targets are met and all expenses are controlled. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, local authorities, and other teams involved in the recovery effort. Ou wheako –about you To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects. Familiarity with legislative requirements and technical standards for bridge construction. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Strong financial management skills.
