As the Project Management Office Lead, you will play a pivotal role in translating Council's strategic goals into actionable projects. You will lead a team of project managers, guiding them through the planning, design, procurement, and delivery of projects that align with Council's objectives. Your leadership will ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and with full stakeholder engagement, resulting in successful outcomes for the community.
Your responsibilities will include implementing the project delivery framework, leading initiatives from scoping and planning through to execution and benefits realisation. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including contractors and internal teams, to manage project risks, monitor progress, and provide accurate reports to support decision-making.

Relevant Qualifications and Experience : A recognised tertiary qualification in a related discipline and at least 5 years of project management experience within a multidisciplinary organisation, particularly in complex environments. A full NZ Driver's Licence is required.
Leadership and Project Management Expertise : Proven experience in leading a team to deliver on a range of projects, with strong knowledge of local government legislation, policies, and procedures. You will be skilled in stakeholder engagement, project planning, and risk management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving : The ability to think critically and understand the strategic context of Council's priorities, driving projects that align with these goals. You will possess strong research and analytical skills, enabling you to build knowledge quickly and apply it effectively.
