You will also carry out routine and reactive work as an Electrical Fitter, providing electrical distribution network repairs, maintenance, and construction services for WEL's network.
In this role you will: Be actively involved in projects from the early planning stages right through to commissioning.Demonstrate strong leadership skills to encourage and motivate teams to meet set targets and objectives on a daily basis.Carry out site visits prior to the commencement of major jobs to gain insight into the scope of work and any issues that may arise.Be heavily involved in the delivery of work in the field.Participate in a 24hr callout roster for 24hr fault response and repair.About you You will have: An NZ Electrical registration as an Electrician/Electrical fitter (this is essential).NZQA Level 4 Switching is desirable.Electrical industry knowledge in the installation of HV Substation Assets and equipment.Confidence and maturity to work alone and make important decisions in the field.An absolute commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and those around you.Staff Benefits At WEL, we look after our people – with medical, life and income protection insurance, a variety of flexible working options, health and wellbeing initiatives throughout the year, and opportunities to develop in your role.
