Auckland Council is excited to announce three newly created Project Lead positions which together will support the design and delivery of a Group model for three functions:
Project Lead in Procurement and Corporate Services, Project Lead in Data, and Project Lead in Customer Experience and Digital Services. Group Shared Services is a newly created department established to integrate common functions and technologies across the Auckland Council Group, eliminating duplication and ensuring consistent, scalable, resilient, secure, and high-quality shared services. As Project Lead, you will lead the project for your functional area, assisting your GM to implement a leading practice group shared services function which enables equitable service provision to Auckland Council Group entities.
Key Responsibilities for All Positions: Lead the development and execution of a functional operating model, including the creation and delivery of detailed business cases.Oversee project implementation by managing timelines, documentation, and ensuring alignment among stakeholders for successful outcomes.Collaborate closely with General Managers across Auckland Council Group entities to identify and capitalize on opportunities that deliver immediate value.Inspire and guide your team to achieve project goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Facilitate cross-disciplinary workshops and forums to enhance service delivery and drive stakeholder engagement.Specific Role Requirements: Customer Experience & Digital Services: You will use your experience in human-centered design, services design and/or customer insights to lead the design and implementation of a customer-focused operating model for Customer Experience & Digital Services.
Procurement and Corporate Services: You will use your experience in process design and optimisation, procurement services and/or corporate services to design and implement best practice operating models for two GSS functions - Procurement Services and Corporate Support Services.
Data: You will use your experience in data services, analytics, technologies and governance to lead the design and implementation of a best practice Data operating model which supports outcomes for all Auckland Council entities.
You will bring extensive experience and skill in your relevant area, with a strategic mindset that enables you to identify opportunities for improvement and drive impactful change. Your exceptional relationship-building skills will help you engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, and your ability to remain agile in fast-paced environments will be crucial for success.
