The Johnson Bros team are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to help deliver projects based in Opua, Northland.
Experience completing projects with a practical, hands-on mindset within the marine contracting environment is essential.
In this role, you will apply engineering principles to deliver and manage unique project solutions and coordinate the project team, ensuring that the technical aspects of the project are aligned with the agreed standards.
Key responsibilities will include the following: A solutions-orientated attitude with ability to deliver unique projects, autonomously.Participate in the management of assigned works, ensuring contract performance meets client requirements in terms of quality, cost and project timeframes.Manage project documentation including contracts, subcontractor and supplier agreements, invoices, and claims.Ensure that all monthly financial management reporting requirements are met.
Complete workload forecasting for the contract.Ensure appropriate Project Management Methodology, safety and quality assurance systems are in place.
You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain strong client relationships and prepare progress and claim reports.

Important Skills We are looking for individuals with the following skills and experience: A formal engineering qualification A practical-minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills.
