The Project Manager works closely with teams focusing on product specifications, product design, tooling procurement and design, engineering prototypes, cost reduction, quality improvement opportunities, and manufacturing support.
Must have "hands-on" design experience and support the execution of new product development launches, team objectives, and strategies with a focus on both design and project management.Essential Job Functions:Creates and modifies part masters, BOM, routing, and prints.Responsible for creating and maintaining PMIs, work instructions, and tooling requirements.Analyzes proposed product requirements and specifications to determine feasibility through internal EP process.Manages projects and reports timing.Coordinates PPAP package requirements per customer requirements or expectations.Participates as a key member in Kaizen events and/or other continuous improvement activities.Responsible for working in accordance with our documented Quality System, and for ensuring that products and services meet the customer's specified requirements.Maintains a clean and orderly work area using the 5S process and follows all safety policies and procedures.Communicates any problems or obstacles to the Plant Manager.May be required by Management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks.May be required to work different shifts, hours, overtime, and weekends if needed.Requirements:Minimum Requirements:Mechanical engineering degree or 3 years of experience in a related field.
Must have demonstrated applied mechanical engineering problem-solving skills, and 3D CAD experience using Mechanical Desktop, Solid Works, or other CAD software.
