Project Engineer

Wellington Based – Heavy Industrial – Mechanical If you want the autonomy to run and manage your own projects throughout NZ but be based in Wellington, then this role is definitely worth considering.

This role requires the delivery of heavy engineering projects throughout NZ.
These projects encompass scoping the design, project management, construction, and maintenance skills for the delivery of structural steel and piping projects within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
Applicants Will Possess the Following Attributes and Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years post-graduate and relevant Oil & Gas (or related) experience.
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
Very strong relationship skills, with the ability to build trust and nurture ongoing relationships.
Successfully delivered and experienced in large-scale heavy engineering projects.
Structural steel, HAZOPs, Piping, Tankage, and Pressure Equipment engineering design expertise is preferred.
Experience in dealing with consultants and contractors.
Strong HSE implementation and regulations understanding.
Ability to self-manage and be available for some travel within NZ.
Display excellent verbal and written communication skills.
