Project Engineer

Wellington Based – Heavy Industrial – Mechanical If you want the autonomy to run and manage your own projects throughout NZ but be based in Wellington, then this role is definitely worth considering. Particularly if you are looking to grow from a corporate role, into heavy industry. The requires the delivery of heavy engineering projects, throughout NZ. These projects encompass scoping the design, project management, construction, and maintenance skills, for the delivery of structural steel and piping projects within the Oil&Gas or Petrochemical sector. Applicants will possess the following attributes and experience: Have a minimum of 5 years post graduate and relevant Oil&Gas (or related) experience Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering (or similar) Very strong relationship skills, with the ability to build trust and nurture on going relationships Successfully delivered and experienced large scale heavy engineering projects Structural steel, HAZOPs, Piping, Tankage and Pressure Equipment engineering design expertise is preferred Experience in dealing with consultants and contractors Strong HSE implementation and regulations understanding Ability to self-manage and be available for some travel within NZ Display excellent verbal and written communication skills In return, we can offer you a competitive salary and to be involved within a supportive and professional team, working on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.
