Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing all technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
This role involves managing the engineering team subcontracted by the company and overseeing technical aspects such as drawings, specifications, and safety compliance.
The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to meet all project objectives and deliverables on time and within budget.
Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project objectives, scope, and schedule.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
Develop engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for various project components.
Coordinate and participate in engineering analyses, including structural, electrical, and mechanical assessments.
Prepare detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines.
Review and approve project contracts, change orders, and invoices.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including field personnel.
Conduct regular project meetings to communicate updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.
Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, performance metrics, and financial analysis.
Coordinate with procurement to identify and acquire materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
Manage and supervise activities within the engineering scope, ensuring safety and compliance.
Support tenders, operations, maintenance, commissioning, and construction teams.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; professional engineering certification is desirable.
Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or construction setting.
Strong technical knowledge in relevant engineering disciplines, such as civil, mechanical, or electrical.
Proficient in project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid Australian work rights.
Local Driver's Licence.
Valid White Card.
