Downer is an industry leader in water, providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset lifecycle from the conceptual development of a project through design, construction, commissioning and whole-of-life support and optimisation.
The Project Engineer is responsible for managing specific operations within a project and performing a variety of activities to ensure that technical and contractual requirements are met, resources are used efficiently, and target results are achieved. This includes but is not limited to, managing personnel, overseeing subcontractors, developing project methodologies, and acting in various capacities as needed. This position requires mobility, as project work outside the usual location may be necessary.
Nga pukenga matua | Important Skills We are looking for individuals with the following skills and experience:
A recognised tertiary qualification in the field of Engineering or Science
A minimum of 4 years of work experience at the Site Engineer level or higher is essential.
Experienced in site investigations, temporary works, construction methodologies, pipelaying techniques, quality controls, testing and commissioning activities.
Experienced in managing multiple projects with extensive plant and resource knowledge
A current, full driver's license is essential.
