Project EngineerJoin the Entec team and help us deliver world-class Instrumentation and Electrical Projects and services across New Zealand's heavy industrial infrastructure.What's the opportunity?To support a wide variety of Instrumentation, Electrical and switchboard design and engineering work, we are in need of an additional Project Engineer to join our engineering team.

We now employ around 130 people based out of locations in Auckland, Taupo and New Plymouth, and operate nationwide.The job we have on offerWe are looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer to join our rapidly growing New Plymouth based team.
The scopes of work to be managed are switchboard design and build jobs, and I&E installation projects.
Key parts of the job description for this role include:Project engineering of switchboards and other manufactured items from pre-execution through all aspects of the build and up to handover and QA.Receive client enquiries and convert to functional designs and tender proposals.Develop CAD designs and drawings for proposals and work packs.Prepare estimates from initial designs and prepare tender proposals.Close liaison with workshop personnel to ensure quality and commercial outcomes are achieved.Any other relevant aspects as they emerge.To be considered for this role you would need:Qualifications; we require a minimum of either a relevant trade certificate (electrical or instrumentation disciplines) or a relevant diploma or degree (electrical, electronics or similar).Of more importance to us than the qualification is relevant experience; we require a minimum of five years of experience in a field very similar to the disciplines and industries in which we work.Excellent attention to detail.A high level of literacy and numeracy.Familiarity with the MS Office suite of software and MS Project.To be an effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders.To be able to help create and work to production schedules.To promote Entec's Health, Safety and Quality culture.To be willing to work as part of a team.Remuneration will be by way of salary in the range of $110k to $120k, dependent on trade qualifications, relevant experience, and any other skills you can bring to the business.
The standard working week will be 40~45 hours, with the potential for overtime as required.
