Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.Job DescriptionAbout this opportunityThe Project Engineer will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the Christchurch site for New Product Development, product trials, and their integration into production.
This role involves continuously improving machine efficiencies, managing plant maintenance, and overseeing process improvements in the production area.Additionally, the Project Engineer will provide technical support, manage project progress through new tool development, testing, and initial production, ensuring all aspects of quality and run rate are met.Your key responsibilities will be to:Provide engineering support to the sales team for scoping and costing new products.Provide support and input into design and material specification for new products.Manage development projects with customers.Oversee the required testing, documentation etc, providing feedback on outcome and recommend the next steps.Document machine settings, QA specifications and develop SOP's once testing is complete and product is ready for production.Creation and administration of documentation, CAD modelling and drawings.Help with the maintenance and improvement to MEX.Provide input and support to production and QA teams.Assist with efficient tool and machine setup.Monitor machines to ensure output and efficiencies are maximised and trouble shoot on process issues as required.Ensure compliance with Pact Group's WHSE policies and relevant legislation.Your skills and experience:To be successful in this role, you'll have:Previous experience in like/similar field ideally in Plastics manufacturing (design, tool making, processing)Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skillsProactive, goal-oriented, and innovative thinkerEffective interpersonal skills at all organizational levelsNumerical, mechanical aptitude, and analytical problem-solvingQuality-focused with a drive for excellenceAbility to connect well with diverse individuals, including customers.Additional InformationWhy Join Us?Work for a company dedicated to sustainability and leading the circular economy.Take advantage of opportunities for professional growth and development as the company continues to expand.Enjoy a dynamic work environment with a variety of tasks that keep each day exciting and engaging.Permanent and Full-time role.Discounted rates and savings through our anz@work benefits programLocation:Christchurch, New ZealandHours:Regular daytime working hours 8:00am to 4:00pm- Monday to FridayHow to apply:If this role sounds like you, please click on the apply button and follow the prompts.
