Our water sector contractor client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Delivery team based at Knapps Mill WTW in Christchurch with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the Project Manager and you will assist the Senior Project Engineer/ Construction Manager in co-ordinating an effective and economic plant design and procurement strategy; ensuring information is issued in time to enable construction, commissioning and putting to work in line with the Contract Programme; provide cost data for forecasts and evaluation of variationsResponsibilitiesEnsure project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowanceEnsure all applications for payment are made on or before the due dateEnsure contract reviews, monthly forecasts are completed and submitted on timeMaintain good client relationships at all levelsAssist with the Project Management strategyEstablish and maintain the contract filing systemsAssist in the production of the contract programme; monitor programme and produce progress reportsProvide data for the timely production of O&M manualsLiaise with subcontractors and suppliersLiaise with site management on design and procurement issuesMonitor subcontract performanceAssist in the preparation of the construction completion and take over documentationEnsure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations.Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this roleIn all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and company as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationshipsWork closely with design departments to ensure timely progressing of quality solutionsEvaluate innovative solutions and processesContribute to risk and opportunity schedules on a monthly basisEnsure designs are developed which are safe to construct, commission, operate and maintainComplete the capitalisation processSkills/experience/qualificationsBasic engineering backgroundWorking knowledge of various conditions of contract especially NECEngineering/ Technical qualification (HNC minimum) requiredExperience of supply chain expeditionKnowledge of water and waste water treatment processesCDM & Health & Safety knowledgeWhat MWH offerSalary £40-55k depending on experienceHybrid Working (Jobs needs dependent)Car/car allowance (Jobs needs dependent)25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy)Contribution Pension schemeLife AssuranceHealth InsurancePrivate Medical InsuranceAnd many more benefits including - cycle to work scheme, discounts and savings Hub, Kids Pass etc #J-18808-Ljbffr
