We pride ourselves on working smart, safely and sustainably, harnessing the latest technologies and brightest minds.About The RoleReporting to our General Manager Telecommunications NZ, the Project Director will oversee a national team, leading the delivery of existing programs, whilst working closely with both clients and our internal functions to drive growth and the operational delivery within the portfolio.You will oversee safe works, drive strategic growth, disciplined program management, and maximise stakeholder engagement internally and externally.Furthermore, you will play a significant leadership role responsible for growth, strategy, and operational leadership of one of our key portfolios for the Ventia Telecommunications business in NZ. This role does not necessarily need to be based in Auckland and could be accommodated in one of our other locations around New Zealand including Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch.Key Experiences & SkillsFormal qualifications within Project Management or similar relevant discipline.Demonstrated experience leading large scale infrastructure programs, fit for purpose delivery for telecommunication assets.Outstanding client engagement, relationship building, networking and communication skills.Exceptional commercial acumen, with experience managing P&Ls, budgets, contracts, negotiations, and the financial performance of a business or business unit.Excellent knowledge of project delivery processes, including a keen eye on continuous improvement and risk management.Inspiring and supportive leader with a proven ability to develop diverse, high performing teams through guidance, coaching and collaboration.Skilled in fostering an inclusive, engaging work environment that drives service excellence.Exceptional deliverer on multiple task assignments simultaneously meeting deadlines with a high level of detail and accuracy.A leader who is dedicated to a safety-first culture by driving safety, environment & health outcomes.About YouYou can refer to previous experiences where you have successfully tendered, won, and delivered a portfolio of projects, including growing market segments, developing innovative solutions, and building trusted stakeholder relationships.To be successful in this role, you will partner with the General Manager and the Senior Leadership Team in driving organisational performance and identifying and winning growth opportunities related to existing contracts / clients.You will be an engaging leader, who grows highly motivated and capable teams, guided by your clear and strong leadership.DiversityVentia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents, and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
