About the opportunity This role presents an exciting opportunity to oversee project operations, develop and align business plans with Council strategy, allocate resources effectively, implement innovative systems for service enhancement, and contribute to strategic development forums. As a leader in infrastructure project delivery, you'll guide a team of professionals, manage budgets, mitigate risks and cultivate strong relationships with external agencies and stakeholders to optimise project outcomes and organisational success. In addition, you will: Oversee the delivery of the entire project program outlined in the Long Term Plan Develop projects through design stages, including risk mitigation and benefit optimisation Maximise value for the community and partners Implement health and safety expectations into program delivery Be proactive in identifying resource requirement and cross-project dependencies with PMO About you We are seeking an exceptional candidate with significant project management experience, highly effective leadership skills and a knack for fostering meaningful working relationships effortlessly. You will possess adaptable communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with individuals at every level within the organisation. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure are paramount, and will be demonstrated by your track record of delivering outstanding results on large-scale and complex projects. In addition, you will have: 8 years+ of project or program management experience Extensive senior-level experience in various program management and transformation initiatives Possession of Project Management Professional Certification Proven experience in team coordination, along with mentoring and coaching team development A demonstrated ability to cultivate highly engaged and high-performing teams What we offer Kaipara District Council offers a flexible, supportive, and inclusive team culture within a collaborative environment.
