About the opportunity
This is an exciting time to join our team while we prepare for our Whareroa Cool Stores project. Whareroa is one of our largest sites, boasting a total of 11 plants which includes four milk powder plants, two cheese plants, a cream plant, an anhydrous milk fat plant, plus a whey protein and casein plant. We have the capability to process an impressive 14 million litres of milk per day in peak season.
In this highly visible role as our Project Coordinator, you will provide effective support and coordination to the project site and the Construction Management Team for our Cool Store project. This role is a three-year fixed term and includes a wide range of support tasks across the project lifecycle including developing and promoting project administration best practices, maintaining key project records, and stakeholder management.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the project by taking the initiative and seeking opportunities to standardise practices through collaboration.
Other key responsibilities will include:
Project Administration including reception duties for the project office, document control, and central liaison and project communications.
Coordinate, organise and support project meetings and events, taking responsibility for equipment, room or venue bookings, catering, agenda, and minutes.
Coordinate travel and related duties for project team members.
Management of the project environment and identification and implementation of continuous improvement ideas.
Maintain project budget and cost data, reconciliation, and raising purchase orders for the project within budgets.
Develop and coordinate presentation materials.
About you
You are a quick learner who can manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. You can assist with project tracking and reporting of actual, committed, and forecast spend and can reconcile project transaction reports against the budget.
Attributes that will help you succeed in this role:
Great communication and organisational skills - both written and verbal to engage well with internal and external stakeholders.
Good understanding of project budgeting and financial accounting in ERP, preferably SAP.
Experience within Microsoft Windows work groups and SharePoint.
Strong team player who loves to deliver excellent customer service.
One to two years project experience would be ideal, but not essential. In place where no experience exists, the ability to quickly learn and grasp concepts is key.
