Project Buyer GEA is seeking a talented and motivated Project Buyer to join our team in our Mt Wellington office. The position plays a critical role in our supply chain process, ensuring that all necessary materials and services for our projects are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively, including co-ordinating logistics processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned projects.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on project needs.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines.Establish and maintain relationships with transportation and logistics service providers and negotiate contracts and rates.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.About you: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a project-based environment.Strong understanding of procurement / supply chain principles, practices, and tools.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.We Offer: Competitive remuneration commensurate with experienceEligibility to participate in the global bonus scheme.
