The programme of works includes Queenstown Town Centre Street Upgrades, Queenstown Town Centre Arterial – Stage 1, Lakeview Infrastructure, NZTA's Queenstown Package, and Wakatipu Active Travel Network.This exciting and challenging programme of work aims to improve safety and accessibility, enable an improved public transport system, provide more options for walking and cycling, and benefit the community and its visitors.4 years into an 8-year programme of works, the focus is moving to NZTA's Queenstown Package as part of the upgrade of the Roads of Regional Significance.Based in Queenstown as our Project Accountant, you will be part of a team responsible for managing the financial aspects of the Project, working closely with the delivery team to deliver an outstanding financial outcome.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be able to build good working relationships with all financial stakeholders and be able to pick up internal financial systems quickly.These roles don't come up very often and are a great opportunity to accelerate your learning and give you real world experience on a Major Project.What we're looking for:You may be a driven Management Accountant looking to take the next step up in your career, or currently working in a similar role in search of complete function ownership.
Ideally you will have some construction or infrastructure industry knowledge.With your ability to work to deadline, juggle the challenge of a full workload with sometimes changing priorities and your flexible, can-do nature, you'll fit right into our team.

A strong accounting background (CA (or working towards CA) with 2+ year's commercial experience desirable)Analytical skills and ability to critique financial dataSuperb communication and people skills – you will need to work closely with our project managers, JV partners, auditors and local Fulton Hogan regions, amongst othersA positive, solution focussed, can do attitudeThe innate ability to motivate and influence; coaching and developing others to achieve and deliver continuous improvement resultsAttention to detailHighly proficient in Excel particularly data analysis skillsExperience in working with the JDE ERP system would be an advantageThis is a fantastic opportunity to live & play in New Zealand's premier tourist town, whilst working on a legacy project that will benefit the surrounding area for years to come.Good Work equals Good BenefitsMedical insurance for you and your whanau.
