This role offers an exciting opportunity to demonstrate and promote best practice project accounting, support working capital management, provide advice throughout the life cycle of a project, and build trusting relationships with key clients and partners. What you'll do: As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in promoting best practice project accounting within our client's organisation. You will be responsible for supporting working capital management for various projects by focusing on areas of improvement. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing advice throughout the life cycle of a project. You will also work closely with other corporate business partners and advisors to provide a coordinated service to the business. Your ability to analyse project performance dashboards and reports will be essential in supporting decision-making processes.
Demonstrate and promote best practice project accounting including support to project governance, financial management plans, ERP & project delivery systems, project audits, project controls, invoicing, and project reporting.Support working capital management for the project(s) by focusing on areas of improvement and ensure proactive steps are being taken to resolve issues and align project processes with client invoicing cycles.Provide advice throughout the life cycle of a project, including project reporting & controls, work breakdown structure, and earned value/revenue assessments.Work with project leaders to prepare supporting documentation to secure fair project variations.Support commercial business partners with pricing and profitability analysis to inform pricing decisions.Implement contract mechanisms as they relate to invoicing, reporting and budget changes.Work closely with other corporate business partners and advisors to provide a coordinated service to the business.Analyse project performance dashboards and reports, highlighting key insights about the project's financial performance that supports the decision-making process.Coordinate project forecasting to support projects leaders with decision-making.What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Project Accountant role will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in project and contract management. A CPA or Chartered qualification is preferred, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have demonstrated ability to promote best practice project accounting and support working capital management for various projects. Your expertise in providing advice throughout the life cycle of a project will be invaluable, as will your proficiency in analysing project performance dashboards and reports.
Relevant tertiary qualification or significant knowledge and experience in project and contract management.CPA or Chartered preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to demonstrate and promote best practice project accounting.Experience in supporting working capital management for various projects.Expertise in providing advice throughout the life cycle of a project.Ability to work closely with other corporate business partners and advisors to provide a coordinated service to the business.Proficiency in analysing project performance dashboards and reports.What's next?
