Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa is a national provider of mental health, addiction, disability, offender rehabilitation, wellbeing and housing services. This is a group-based Day Activity and Living Skills Programme Service in Whangarei supporting whanau who have a mental health-related diagnosis or alcohol or drug addiction and require support from a dynamic team of people. The team has a focus on recovery, rehabilitation and seeing people thrive within their community.
You will deliver programmes to groups of people.
Are you able to teach a musical instrument, offer any sort of wellness activities, facilitate Tikanga Maori, or any other life skill-based activities?
If you bring skills and knowledge that could be transferred into classes you facilitate, we would love to hear from you.
You will support whanau by contributing to the development and delivery of programmes to groups of people that will assist them in developing and maintaining life skills and support systems, maximising resiliency, recovery and self-help.
Along with facilitation, you will also provide administration and coordination support including purchasing required materials for the classes.
This position is permanent part-time (30 hours per week) Monday to Friday.
Minimum Requirements: A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent) or able to work towards one
Previous experience working within the community or mental health
Resilience and strong personal and professional boundaries
A current Full New Zealand driver's licence
