We take great pride in planning, creating, and delivering Prime Minister and Minister-led trade missions, and study visits, globally in a variety of locations and sizes for the good of New Zealand.What you will be doing: Te whakamahereWe are seeking a highly efficient professional with a proven track record in programme management and stakeholder engagement. This pivotal role involves remotely managing a programme of world-class trade missions and international trade visits from scoping through delivery on the global stage. You will be the Chess Master ensuring seamless management and execution of missions from the strategic focus of a mission and pre-departure briefings through to aftercare and follow up of successful missions and visits. You will possess a reasonable understanding of Investment/Finance and be able to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, speaking the language of investment to ensure that suitable briefings and high impact programmes are developed.This is a relationship-centric role that demands a skill set tailored for high-level conversations across a network of NZ Inc stakeholders and external stakeholders in markets across the world. Your role will involve meticulous management of systems and processes, maintaining a clear line of sight on external engagement. High attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to independently create and proof your work without the need for supervision.An outward focus, strong commercial knowledge, and an understanding of the investment and export ecosystem is essential in this role. You will understand where our team can best showcase and pitch strategic initiatives critical to investment strategies NZTE is pursuing on the global stage.What you'll need to be successful:The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing projects within designated timeframes and budget constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality and scope. Your responsibilities will include proactive risk and issue management to enhance programme outcomes, ensuring both customer satisfaction and mission performance aligns with best practice and trade mission objectives. Additionally, the role requires meticulous budget planning and monitoring to achieve financial objectives.Your proficiency in planning, execution, and delivering world-class outcomes will be highly valued in this role. This role involves complex preparatory work in order to execute plans, and making informed decisions as priorities change requires a resourceful and proactive approach. You must be experienced in managing logistics, visits, and event management at a Government level including experience managing high-level/high-profile visits of VIPs and/or foreign dignitaries. Your ability to engage with stakeholders across NZ Inc. for broad mission initiatives, including international investment and large-scale visits will be crucial to your success in the role.A champion of programme methodology, you'll maintain documentation, analyse initiatives, identify and action opportunities for continuous improvement focusing on measurable performance results.
