The Programme Manager is a key leadership role within Auckland Transport, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Group Shared Service initiatives.
The role builds and leads cross-functional (matrix) programme teams, responsible for cost-effective and timely project planning, procurement, communication and engagement, delivery, commissioning, and handover.
The role positively and proactively represents the programme internally within AT and Council Family and externally with mana whenua, partners, stakeholders, media, and the wider Auckland community.
To be successful, at times the Programme Manager will work in an adaptable and fluid way on initiatives to enable collaboration, cross-skilling and development within a specific programme and also within the wider business.
This may involve short-term projects in virtual teams and/or the adoption of adaptable work practices.
As a recognised subject matter expert in Programme Management, you will bring:
15+ years extensive Programme delivery experience (preferably within a Technology space)Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership roleA relevant tertiary qualification and/or MSP or equivalent industry recognised qualificationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levelsExperience of leading large cross-functional teamsA good understanding and appreciation of the workings and functions of local government, including current and future business drivers and statutory requirementsA high level of resilience and persistence with the ability to manage challenging, ambiguous and complex issues logicallyAt AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
