We really are a company that wants to make a positive difference.Reporting to the Smart Systems Manager, the purpose of this role is to act as the subject matter expert for Watercare. As the technical lead for wastewater networks, the responsibilities of the role include:Develop and implement Watercare's Smart Network Strategy in relation to the Wastewater networksManage and implement Watercare's Smart Sewer Programme which is a network of level sensors and a AI/ Machine learning data analytics.Manage the Watercare's input on the joint Safe Networks programme with Healthy Waters.Undertake technical tasks and provide technical assistance, including field investigation and monitor scoping and implementation to target improvements in the wastewater networks that reduces and removes stormwater from the wastewater network.Liaise with other operational teams to lead reactive inflow and infiltration projects or contamination investigations to address specific customer and environmental issues.Problem-solving, providing technical expertise to other functions and business units of WatercareIn this role you will bring:A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or Process engineering)A quality focus with a strong attention to detail.Knowledge of Water/Wastewater with at least 10 years of industry experience.Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsA working knowledge of network analysis toolsThe ability to establish and build effective relationships with key stakeholders.We offer a competitive salary and staff benefits package including:Training and development opportunitiesLife and income protection insurance plansGenerous parental leaveEmployee discounts at a range of large retailersMe pehea te tono mai | How to ApplyCome and join our team!
