Based at Puna Tatari Special Treatment Unit at Spring Hill Corrections FacilityA career with purpose that really does make impactful changeMo te tunga | About the role Our Programme Facilitators work with people in our management within our prisons and out in the community helping them to understand and address the causes of their offending to assist them in creating crime-free futures. This role is based in a therapeutic community for high-risk prisoners and involves delivering clinically designed treatment programmes alongside psychologists. Additionally, you will need to be holistic in your practice as you embrace and contribute to a therapeutic community kaupapa.
We appreciate the different skill sets within our team, who come from various backgrounds, cultures, education, and experience – they all share the ability to motivate and work alongside others to support them in making positive changes in their lives.
We're looking for someone who can actively listen and understand those we work with and is keen to help them gain insight into their harmful behaviours. To undertake this role, you will need to be comfortable walking alongside people on their journey and consistently reflecting on your own practice.

Are effective listeners and communicators who can build strong positive relationships with participants and other stakeholdersHave knowledge of, or are willing to learn about Maori culture, protocols, and peoples, and apply Kaupapa Maori practice in your workIdeally have experience in delivering and facilitating therapeutic interventions, either individual or, ideally, group therapyHave life experience that means you can work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and ethnic groupsAre comfortable having their practice viewed and are receptive to regular feedback on their practiceHave experience with report writingPlease note that this is a permanent full-time position. The role will be based at Spring Hill Corrections Facility; however, travel within the Region may be required based on business requirements.

The salary range is $69,120 - $87,701. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
