About us:Big Buddy runs an award-winning mentoring programme, matching adult male mentors with boys who have no male role models in their family/whanau.
We work with young people 7-17 across our One 2 One and Group programmes.
We are a social service agency committed to making a practical and meaningful difference in these boys' and young men's lives.About the role:You will be inspired by the impact of your work, as you support the successful delivery of Big Buddy programmes in this diverse role that will allow you to leverage different skills to support your career growth.Based at our Head Office in Greenlane, and working closely with our programme and partnerships teams, you will:Support the delivery of our latest programme, Big Buddy Group.Monitor and support progress of our One 2 One programme relationships.Foster connection within the Big Buddy community by coordinating our community events & support evenings.Manage other support channels and volunteer recognition and reward initiatives.Coordinate programme evaluations and manage survey distribution.
Analyse data and collate reports to summarise findings and insights.Collate stories from our One 2 One programme to be posted on social media and other communications channels.Provide administrative support for our programme, partnerships and marketing/comms teams.Support the design and delivery of programme resources, documents and material.Maintain and manage accurate records and data in our CRM database.About you:Exceptional relationship building and communication skills.Able to work autonomously, while contributing to team goals.Strong administrative ability and organisation skills.A positive attitude to learning and development.Some experience in NFP, community work, counselling, teaching, social work, event or project management.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.Some understanding of programme evaluation, including experience with survey distribution, data analysis and report writing.A full driver's license and able to use your own car.Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings.You take pride in all aspects of your work, and your values and purpose align with those of Big Buddy.What you will receive:A positive environment, where your professional and personal development will be supported.We genuinely respect work/life balance and offer five weeks' annual leave, and some flexible work arrangements.We support your physical wellbeing by offering a subsidy on your gym membership.A salary in the mid to late 60s depending on experience and skills.An office handy to public transport and easy car-parking.We will hire as soon as we find the right person, so check us out online - www.bigbuddy.org.nz - and if you feel like we are the next step on your career path, please apply now.
