Family for Every Child (Family) is a global alliance of 46 local organisations working in 37 countries to improve the lives of children and families in need. We support hundreds of thousands of tamariki and whanau around the world by taking locally-led action in our communities and work closely with the most marginalised and vulnerable, holding crucial knowledge about how to address the inequalities and violations they face.
Family delivers support relating to child protection, family care, justice and equity, mental health, education and emergency aid. Underpinning our frontline efforts, we also develop research, exchange practices, help in crises, and campaign for rights around the world.
About the Role Reporting to the Director of Alliance Programme, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of Family's strategy and the alliance mission with a focus on maintaining and strengthening relationships with key organisations/networks and supporting local programmes in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands that deliver positive outcomes for children.
At a practical level, you will act as a point of contact and conduit between Family and its key organisations/networks and provide sound strategic advice and research to support their programme plans and campaigns, ensuring their work and engagement aligns with Family's Programme practices. You will also coordinate and facilitate steering group meetings, conduct environmental scanning to identify emerging issues and opportunities that pertain to the local (NZ/Pacific) market, and foresee any risks that may impact on the programmes of work.
In addition, you will assist in building a network of local partners, identify and build relationships with local diverse communities such as Maori and Pasifika, support Family's ongoing development, approach, and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and foster a culture focused on mutual respect, equitability, and working together towards a common goal.

This is a fixed term contract, part-time hours (21 hours per week) covering parental leave for 12 months initially, with the possibility to extend. This is a fully remote work-from-home position based anywhere in New Zealand. Family will provide office tools and equipment, a contribution of up to 75% towards your internet cost, and a wide range of staff benefits.
