We have established a record of quality operations and have grown to be the largest operator of public arenas in the United States, operating 25 public ice-skating arenas across Massachusetts.The Program Coordinator – Learn to Skate will oversee multiple program hours, both on and off-site, and is responsible for customer service and assigned administrative functions. During programs, the coordinator is expected to manage, organize, and support on-site staff. They could be on or off the ice depending on program needs. The coordinator must be a team player and possess a positive results-oriented approach. The work schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to meet the needs of our facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Support and assist their Program Director's efforts, directives, and initiatives.Supervise and/or execute programming hours.Prepare and/or organize programs and events.Deliver customer service and experience management both onsite and offsite, including:Assisting customers during programsReturning calls or emailsHandling registration and POS transactionsHandling social media postsSet up and maintain customer touchpoints, including lobby and area setup during programs, registration portals, website pages, promotional materials, and social media.Provide customer and administrative support for FMC Skating Club memberships, ISI memberships, and ISI Testing.Cultivate the FMC Skating Community within assigned rinks, including:Promoting crossover from Learn to Skate to Figure Skating or Hockey programs.Building a team atmosphere.Providing parent, skater, and coach education.Identifying areas for development.Assisting with events such as exhibitions, community events, public skate events, etc.Execute the onsite experience of the assigned programs.Maintain appropriate communications with direct report, arena manager, and other roles regarding program function and execution.Work with direct report and other staff on the growth of the assigned program.Facilitate payroll and other staff management functions as needed.Ensure program supplies and materials are maintained (attendance taken, evaluations, skill linking, etc.).Skills/Knowledge Required:High school diploma or GED.A minimum of two years of paid instructor experience in either Figure Skating or Hockey.One of the following proficiencies as a skater:Passed ISI Freestyle 4Passed USFS PreliminaryParticipated in at least 2-3 years of formal league playA self-starter with the ability to take direction and prioritize tasks.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to process data and compile reports.Flexibility to work varying hours as seasons and service needs change.Additional Requirements:Current ISI (Ice Sports Industry) Professional MembershipCurrent Professional Liability InsuranceThe information presented indicates the general nature and level of work expected of employees in this classification.
